We live, work and play together

We are a family. My Aunt’s House thrives to unify foster families together. Building a network full of like-minded individuals and creating emotional safety nets, where the foster children are the families’ center focus. With the ongoing support from My Aunt’s House, the foster youth will grow into responsible, respectful, young adults who are ready to take on life’s challenges. My Aunt’s House opens the minds and hearts of our youth and their families by providing them with ongoing resources and household items. Aiding families in the process of both reunification and new family placement. My Aunt’s House aim is to ensure that 85% of our foster families are delighted by their service. While 82% of our foster youth thrive for College readiness.


Building life long family bonds

Knowing someone is standing with you and supports you and your goals is only half the step. My Aunt’s House is available to provide families with resources from Monday - Friday. My Aunt’s House respects all religious backgrounds and denominations.


We listen to the families’ needs while providing the resources for the families to be physically successful. My Aunt’s House works with over 11 small businesses in the Washington, DC area to provide families with household items and educational resources. One of My Aunt’s House goals for the next 10 years is to provide tutoring options for the youth past the age of 18, promoting educational advancement in our fostered youth.


We learn and study to build our minds


My Aunt’s House has partnered with 2 after school support programs in the Washington, DC area. There is an option for in-house after school tutoring for foster families aided by My Aunt's House. My Aunt’s House provides both guardians and temporary placement families with resources about educational workshops and skill building training. My Aunt’s House has 3 skill building oriented small business partnerships, who will provide personal sessions to build emotional bonding between families.

My Aunt’s House aims to be the support system and relief that every foster family needs.

My Aunt’s House standard provisions are clothes, bedding, and household items. To aid in the home's safety for the foster youth.

Our Long- Term Goal

My Aunt’s House long- term goal is to open a family style, loving foster facility home for a diverse population of fostered youth. My Aunt’s House Aims to achieve successful integration into kinship care. While rebranding the foster youth as they grow into adulthood. A loving group home facility that is modeled after a productive home environment is what My Aunt's House wants to open. My Aunt’s house recognizes the unique need of each child, and the importance of treating our children with dignity and respect, in a safe family atmosphere. My Aunt’s House thrives for this goal to be achieved in the next year.


My Aunt's House works hard everyday to reach the goal of opening a facility. My Aunt’s House aims for a network that believes in our fostered youth as much as their placement and permanent families. My Aunt’s House's current repetitive 45 families rest well knowing that they are safe and have the safety net of My Aunt's House.
